Peace, is more than a word

Hope, shouldn't be so absurd

Lies, are what got us here

Truth, we deserve it not fear

A Change is coming and  Obama's the man

With voices rising up all over this land

Our moment's here and its got to be taken

The road is hard but we will not be shaken

The time is now we got to turn the page

And help those starving making minimum wage

No more handouts so the rich can get richer

While leaving all the rest out of the picture

Peace, is more than a word

Hope, shouldn't be so absurd

Lies, are what got us here

The truth, we deserve it not fear

A change is coming and we got to believe

Working together we will surely succeed

DC is broken and its time to fix it

Shut down the lobbyist and corporate misfits

Its slash and burn while they grab what they can

No moral compass while they're raping the land

Big business likes it , wants to keep it the same

Obama scares them like a snake on a plane

Worst of all we fight your war for oil

Thought it'd be easy, thought you'd gather the spoils

You spun and spun it so it looked so clear

When someone challenged you attacked and you smeared

You even tried to tell us mission accomplished

While five years later they're still dying in anguish

The secret's out now so don't bother lying

You lied before, that's why our children are dying
